Gala 2013 - A Selection of Photos from the Evening

The 27th Annual Sons of Italy Gala began with Prosecco and the pre-dinner reception.  The four course dinner was of course, fabulous.  Then there was a $10,000 cheque presentation to our Helping Hand Charity Dante Aligheiri Cultural Society.  Next, the 2013 CIBPA Professional Award was given to Tony Catanese. 

Then Sons of Italy gave a cheque for $100,000 to St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation designated specifically to the Canada Italy Tissue Engineering Laboratory (CITEL).

Then we held the raffle, giving 5 prizes ranging from a two week trip to Italy to a two day guided fishing trip in Manitoba.  Our feature performer, Steve Lippia took to the stage singing many of Frank Sinatra's classics.  The Ron Paley Big Band provided the music and after a couple of songs, the dance floor filled up, staying full through the evening.
